It takes many hands to make the Old Home Day turn out just right. We would like to express our thanks to the Rumney Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary, Rumney Baptist Church, Byron G. Merrill Library Staff, Historical Society, Russell Elementary School Staff, Highway Department, Police Department, Town Office Staff, all the crafters and vendors that were on the common, the businesses that donated their time and contributions to our raffles, Dead River Company and Joe King from King Forest and all the people that provided a service or entertainment on the program. It could not have happened without all of you helping.
The red, white and blue theme was definitely carried out throughout the day from the parade to the dinner and everything in between. We thank Weezy from Tees by Weez for the committee 's shirts of red, white and blue that she created for us.
To our great committee and helpers a big thank you to each and every one. You are very important and much appreciated for all you do to make this event work every year.
We were pleased to be able to honor 2 longtime members of the committee who were grand marshals this year- Joe Leverone and Roger Winsor. Thanks to both of you for all your years of service.
We look forward to Old Home Day 2011 which will be August 13. Make sure you save that date to meet on the common.
